Web Development and Design

One of the main focuses of the Center is web design and development. The Civic Engagement Computer Center develops web site to the organizations specification.

IT Mentoring

CECC offers a website site design and IT mentoring program for high school students which includes basic web development and design including basic computer programming.

Computer Training

Our computer Training sessions are offered to agencies after their website is created to train them on the “How To” of website management.


Senior Capstone

CECC offers an opportunity for computer science capstone students to integrate the knowledge and skills gained in computer science work into innovative research or project development for non-profit organizations.

Student Employment

CECC is staffed with skilled NJIT students with expertise related to Information Technology. A select number of students are hired annually to help manage the center.

Service Learning

Service Learning is the education that occurs through a student's direct involvement with projects designed to meet specific community needs. Students receive coursework credit for contributing 30 hours of community service.

Volunteers

CECC provides students with opportunities to actively involved in the community, learn about the community needs, develop commitments to helping others, and tests academic theory in a practical manner.
